DOUBLE STAKED DRYER


Double stacked dryers are produced by the second module installation over the base module. The base module has two fans and two burners with a dividing of the plenum in the proportion 2/3 and 1/3. The modules hitch up with the help of the special side posts.

The upper module  of such dryers may have one or two fans with the burners. regardless of the number of the fans, the chamber of the upper module doesn't have a baffle. 

When the dryer runs in Heat/Cool mode the grain gets hot in the upper module and in the upper chamber of the lower module., and gets cool in the lower chamber of the lower module. The lower burner of the lower module is not switched on; only the fan is in operation.

If the dryer runs only in Heat mode, the lower chamber of the lower module is also used for heating.

Efficiency  of double stacked dryers are the same for the dryers with three fans, if the upper module has one fan, and for the dryers with four fans, if he upper module has two fans.

Regardless of the number of the fans and the burners in the upper module, the volume and the  temperature of the heated air which get through the grain will be the same.
